This official driver and software package includes everything your HP Deskjet 1510 printer needs.
The HP Deskjet 1510 is an all-in-one printer, which means that it scans, copies and faxes. It is ideal for personal use and small offices, and although it has a small physical footprint, it manages to hold 60 sheets of paper and offers an output tray that can hold up to 25 sheets. This is a wired printer that connects to both Windows and Apple computers and devices via Type B USB.
HP recommends that you use 1510-specific printer drivers—as opposed to generic drivers—and that you install the latest drivers available. This package includes those drivers. The package is a self-extracting archive. After you unzip the archive, you can access the drivers directly—for those who prefer the control of a manual install—or use the included installer, which is very user-friendly.
Note that HP supports Windows as far back as Windows XP and has updated support as far forward as Windows 10. It supports all editions and versions of the operating system, including 64-bit and 32-bit. HP offers auto-detection that really makes it easy on the casual user. You do not need to know the specifics of your PC. HP will figure it out and offer you the necessary files automatically.
The HP Deskjet 1510 All-in-One printer does not require firmware upgrades, so a firmware update and a firm installer are not provided. This package does include a user manual and other documentation. It also includes additional optional software, such as an OCR program and diagnostic tool for troubleshooting printer problems. If you opt to install these, then you will need to do individually by double-clicking those installers, which you will find in the folder along with the driver installer.
